We are proud to shine a spotlight on one of our former team members, Levon Gray, who worked as a Youth Development Worker on our SW!TCH team.
Levon was recently featured in a powerful short film by European broadcaster ARTE, now available to watch on YouTube. The film, Re: London Knife Crime, follows Levon as he works with young people across London, helping them make safer choices and build brighter futures.
In the film, Levon talks openly about his work with young people who are at risk of getting involved in violence, especially knife crime. He shares how the SW!TCH programme supports them to grow in confidence, improve their mental health and find a sense of purpose.
“This film shows what it means to really support young people,” Levon says. “It’s not just about keeping them out of trouble. It’s about helping them feel seen, heard, and valued. When they feel that, they start to believe in their future.”
We’re proud to see Levon’s work highlighted in this way. He brings real care and commitment to his role, and he’s made a big difference in the lives of the young people he supports. This film shows how vital youth work is in tackling violence and giving young people new opportunities.

Why this matters
Knife crime is a serious issue in London and across the UK. It affects young people’s physical and mental health, their confidence and their chances in life. At LifeLine, we believe the answer is not about punishment, but prevention, care, and connection.
Our SW!TCH programme offers young people mentoring, mental health support and positive activities. It helps them build strong relationships and choose better paths. We work in schools and communities to give young people the tools they need to grow, succeed and stay safe.
Levon is just one of the many team members who are out there every day, walking alongside young people and helping them to take control of their futures.
We’re grateful to ARTE for sharing his story and for helping to spread the word about this important work.
