Wellbeing Peer Support

Building healthier communities in Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge

Many communities in Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge face barriers to accessing the mental health support they need.

That's why we're working with the NHS North East London Foundation Trust to improve outcomes for local people experiencing mental health difficulties.

We're mobilising local volunteer peer supporters who will use their own lived experiences to provide hope and understanding to those in need.

Supported by our professional staff, they're running support groups, wellbeing activities, and community engagement events, all designed to reduce isolation and build resilience.

Our objectives

Improve wellbeing and reduce isolation

Increase community participation

Promote better awareness of mental health

Challenge stigma and misconceptions

Support sustained recovery
