It's estimated that around 20% of adults in Barking and Dagenham—over 40,000 people—live with a common mental health disorder.
Residents are known to be faced with depression, isolation, and anxiety—issues that can be further exacerbated by long-term conditions.
If you're finding it hard to cope due to mental health issues or emotional distress, the trained advisors at our Listening Lounge can offer empathetic and sensitive support in a safe and welcoming space.
We can give you a calming space to talk about your issues, confidential one-to-one support from a trained advisor, and refer you to local services that can offer further support.
This is not a clinical or emergency service.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 999 or go directly to your nearest emergency service.
